Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
AHA eCard Availability & Troubleshooting
When will I receive my eCard?
American Heart Association (AHA) eCards may take up to two (2) business days to process and be issued through our Training Center after successful course completion.
What do I do if I can't find my eCard?
If you have not received your eCard, please first check your spam or junk email folder for an email from the American Heart Association. eCards are typically sent from eCards@heart.org, and messages from this address may occasionally be filtered by email providers.
If you are still unable to locate your eCard, you may search for it directly using the AHA eCard lookup tool.
If your eCard does not appear in the search results after two business days, please contact us for assistance by emailing support@medicsforlife.com or calling (831) 601-2494.
How do I correct a mistake (like a misspelling) on my eCard?
Please contact us for assistance by emailing support@medicsforlife.com or calling (831) 601-2494 with the fully corrected details. We will submit a correction to the AHA
Course Information
Do you offer initial certifications or renewals?
We offer both! Our courses are comprehensive trainings that cover both initial certification and renewal requirements. The classroom portion is the same for both; please ensure you complete all necessary pre-coursework regardless of your status. Prerequisite requirements can be found on each class page.
Are your certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS) official AHA-certified?
Yes, Medics for Life is an authorized American Heart Association (AHA) Training Site, and all of our certifications are official and nationally recognized AHA eCards.
Do I have to pay for the HeartCode/pre-coursework separately?
Yes, the American Heart Association's mandatory HeartCode portion is a separate purchase. Your course fee covers the in-person skills session, but you must complete the HeartCode component before attending the class.
