Basic 12 Lead EKG Interpretation
Location: Natividad Medical Center Education Department
Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Designed to enhance clinical decision making and assessment through the utilization of a systematic method of 12-lead EKG analysis. Participants will review cardiac physiology as it relates to the 12-lead EKG. Application and analysis of the EKG will be practiced to develop pattern recognition.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the derivation of the standard 12 EKG leads, including electrode placement and polarity and views of the heart
- Critically analyze PQRST complexes for abnormalities
- Recognize and describe the management of ST-elevation and non ST- elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI/NSTEMI)
- Describe EKG features of ischemia, injury, infarction, bundle branch blocks, hemiblocks, pericarditis, and electrolyte and drug effects
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
Refunds shall be issued when a request for a refund is made no later than 14 days prior to the date of the class. (Exception: course cancellation) Anytime within two weeks of the course refunds will be issued at of one half the price of the scheduled course fee. i.e. If the cost of the class is $40.00, then $20.00 will be refunded. Request for a refund within two days of the class or on the day of the class will not be granted. Refunds will be issued within 30 days from date of proper request as above.
